Rita, The SGKP (Słownik Geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego) has an entry for 'Ciotusza, Stara i Nowa' [Vol 1, page 704]. It states, in part, that its RC parish is located in Krasnobród; that it has a local cerkiew for the Rusyn residents as a filial of the parish in Majdan Sopocki, but having its own parish prior to the Austrian times. It further states that it stands somewhat as an oasis among the Zamojski estates and that it once belonged to the Szeptycki family. You can see a fairly decent map rendition on the WIG series: > http://www.mapywig.org/m/WIG100_300DPI/P47_S36_NAROL_300dpi.jpg Roman On 11/9/2012 10:00 PM, Rita wrote: > > Does anyone know the history of these two villages.....not much can be > found online.
