For anyone still planning a trip to Poland and renting a car, gas is about 5.80 złoty per _liter_. That is about $6.65 a gallon in U.S. dollars. Sell the kids! Debbie
No need to sell the kids. Firstly, the distances in Poland are way shorter than in the US - so you do not drive hundreds or thousands of miles to reach your destinations -ergo you don't need as much gas. Secondly, the cars, and their engines, are much smaller and much more efficient - so the mileage per car is much better. Thirdly, diesel cars are very popular, and diesel fuel is much cheaper than gasoline, and mileage is way way better - e.g. the Volkswagen Golf makes 1100 km on one tank of diesel. So, overall, you will spend either the same or not much more. ella Subject: [POLAND] Gas in Poland For anyone still planning a trip to Poland and renting a car, gas is about 5.80 złoty per _liter_.
