Dear listers, I have been asked to give further information that might help the list members assist further I am doing this research for a friend. Looking for the father of Jerzy Braun born 1911 in Poland. Believe in Warsaw. Herman Braun (Jerzys father) was a company director (believe timber) from Warsaw area. Mother unknown One sibling possible called Rose (Rosa or Rosalie). Other siblings unknown. Believed to be about 40 family members of which only a few survived the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII. Rose married an Alexander Isaac Dubinsky (who took a title name of Van Eyck) Marriage place unknown. Alexander is of Russian birth. They had one son Bogdan and they ended up in New York. Jerzy Braun was a doctor as was Alexander (above). Jerzy got his medical degree in France but went back to Poland when the war broke to help his family. He went to Kreczmar High School - Warsaw 1920 - 22 and ? 292 Collage Warsaw This comes from a hand written CV of Jerzy Braun written by his wife in England. Dr Jerzy Braun practiced medicine in England. I am not really tracing his English life - more his parents, siblings and his life in Poland. I do have a ancestry page Braun family tree.
