It was an administrative division of the city, just as Paris has numbered "arondissements". After the Vienna Congress in 1815 Cracow became a free city and had eleven "communities". The Jewish neighbourhood Kazimierz constituted Communities 10 and 11. Community 2 was one of the central, "downtown", neighbourhoods. > Akt 224 > ...
