Wal, To add to what Alan suggested, I would merely add that if you need Polish characters, you can access those through a Character Viewer that is a part of most word processing programs and computers. In my case, Polish is referred to as Uncode: 0142, UTF8 CS82. If you use Word, go to Tool, choose Language. This allows you to insert appropriate diacriticals.
