That's the regular nominative plural ending for a married couple: "the Guderians".  It's used for groups of people that presumably include males. I went to the site the Eveline posted and found one of my family's surnames with an ending that I am not familiar with.  The surname is Guderian, but this one had the ending -owie attached, so it became Guderianowie.  Is there a meaning behing this ending?    Thanks!
