I think the new name, TASTE OF POLAND is more appropriate and probably indicates the number of Poles who visit this establishment. "Taste of Poland" is located at: 2301 N. Joe, Thank you very much for all of your help. I am learning a lot here. This was an important record because Aleksander was our greatgrandmother's brother. I've been trying to plug some of these terms into my working draft so I can recognize individual words next time but it appears that some of them, especially in the last part don't seem to work that way, so I'll focus on the whole phrase or sentence in those cases. I don't recognize the village name of Enia but I'll keep looking. There is an Enya that was in Russia according to the Shtetlseeker. I'm not sure if that is it. The text below is a perfect example of why one should NOT USE the internet automatic translators for Polish-English or vice versa texts! This is a total GARBAGE! As I recall we spoke many, many times about this topic here - and on other genealogical lists and forums. Polish being an extremely flexible (beyond any - only English speaking person - comprehension) language, does not tend itself well to the automatic translators. The easiest way to work out where records are now held is probably via Polish Archives website: http://baza.archiwa.gov.pl/sezam/pradziad.php?l=en This should be up to date and tell you what records PA currently hold - a little more complicated to then work out the location of records not held by PA... Where I am lucky enough to have Church and Civil records I like to look at both; very often the latter are in a much clearer script Bronwyn.
