Surnames: Pawlak, Wozniak, Staszak, Szymkowiak, Huebner Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hdC.2ACI/197.1184 Message Board Post: Hello Judy! I think we are related. My father Theodore Thomas Huebner looked in the death and marriage records today in Bay City and told me that my Great Grandfather was "Michael" Nicholas Pawlak (Death: Jan. 31, 1966). He resided in Bay City and married Frances Staszak. They married at St. Stanislaus on 11/11/1907 in Bay City. My Great Grandfather ("Michael" Nicholas Pawlak) parents were Michael Pawlak and Victoria Wozniak. My Great Grandmother (Frances "Staszak" Pawlak) parents were Felix Staszak and Verna Szymkowiak. My grandmother is Helen "Pawlak" Huebner. She was the daughter of "Michael" Nicholas Pawlak and Frances Pawlak. Great Grandmother Frances had 8 children and died November 25, 1923. We are told from Tuberculosis. She was born in 1888 in Poland. She was around 35 when she died. She had 8 chidren. Their names are Helen, John, Sophie, Sally, Mary,Walter, Silvester, and Florence. Grandmother Helen had to quite school at the age of 13 to raise her siblings. Great Grandfather "Michael" Nicholas Pawlak never remarried and raised his 8 children by himself with the help of my Grandmother - Helen. Helen married Harold Otto Huebner. I was wondering if you ever found out where specifically Michael Pawlak and Victory Wozniak came from in Poland. I am doing some investigative work myself because my husband Michael Raymond and I are adopting a sibling group of 4 from Poland and the more information I have about my ancestors the better. Look foward to hearing from you.
