My branch of the family came to the US in 1873. Two brothers, sons of August & Rosina Denzin Elftman, August Jr. and Ludwig, both settled in Dunn County, Wisconsin. The only child that I am aware stayed in Germany from this couple is their daughter, Bertha, who married a Ludtke. Mr. Ludtke may have died sometime around WWI. The Ludtke's had a daughter who married a Schoning and they had a daughter Imgard who married a Hans or Heinz Schaar. This couple had a son Oscar. Oscar would have been about 3 or 4 years of age during WWII. As far as we can tell, the family settled in the Dusseldorf area after being expelled from their homes at the end of WWII. No one has had any contact with anyone in Germany for many years now and I would love to find family there. Hope we can find a connection. Debbie Barrett
