I always thought that they came from Posen/Poznan. I recently found an old photo from Wollstein, Prov. Posen. I looked at a map and found the spelling to be: Wolsztyn. I then typed that into the message boards and found your message. Your family is Rabiega. Mine is Beiga. Same town. Possibly a variation on the spelling?
