My grandfather’s brother left Poland, some other close relatives too. He gave me pics from 50's, although I have no idea (neither does he) who those people are. I also have copies of vital records from Koninskie. “Bultrowicz” is a rather rare last name in Poland and as far as I am concerned, there are more people caring this last name in United States and Canada than are in Poland. Let me know what you know...maybe I could e-mail you some of my photos and vital records to see if you find anything familial. Izabella Bultrowicz

Am sure you have found all the info you need. Ludwig (Louis) and Emil Gramse had lived in the village of Potulitz Hauland, Prussia from about 1864. I just heard from a lady in Germany that has the land registry records for that village and her family were neighbors to the Gramses. She said she will send along the copies of this registry. Should be interesting to see who all lived in that village. I don't think the Radmanns were from there.

Do you have any more info about Anna's parents?
Dear Christian Orpel, since I did not get any response to my emails directly to you I suspect that they got blocked or filtered by mistake. That is why I will try with an email through the list. Since you are researching Golejewko, do you know if the name Manka (possibly Mąka) was present there around 1800? In a marriage record of Michael Grząmka and Julianna Manka, who got married on the 27th of January 1805 in Smolice, there is a note that I think refers to Golejewko with the date 28th May 1805. I wonder if Julianna is from there, since I seem not to be able to find her in Smolice so far. Thanks, Andre

Surnames: Haehnke Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hdC.2ACI/2072 Message Board Post: My great great grandfather, Wilhelm Haehnke, was apparently from this area of Posen, Prussia. According to the family story, he was an officer in the Prussian army around 1860 and was apparently challenged to a duel because his unit did not meet the Prussian army standards upon inspection. Rather than meet the duel, he chose to flee the country. He supposedly changed his name in order to escape, though we don;t know if he kept the false name, or used his real name upon arrival in the US. We are having difficulty tracing him beyond Wisconsin, and don't know if he actually came from Posen or not. Does any one have any hints or suggestions, does this name fit in the area? Barb

I have found a handwritten marriage record for my grandfather's brother. The record includes the names of my great grandfather and great grandmother and their birthplace. I have tried to decipher the handwriting. My guess is Jezewo, Srem or Germ. I would like to have some board members examine the excerpt from the document to confirm or correct my conjecture. As this board does not support embedded picture nor attachments, I ask members who are able to view JPEG files to email me directly at [email protected] I will send a copy of the JPEG file to you for viewing. Thanks in advance for any help. Jim

However, I am from Germany, from the Eastern part of Saxony. I have been a member of the list for quite a long time already, but had an inactive phase in terms of genealogy due to my studies. Since December I have been doing more research again. I am researching the following family names: Switala (?wita?a) in Jutrosin (Jutroschin), Smolice (Smolitz), D?o? (Dlonie) und R?biechow (Rembiechowo near Kobylin) Tyczewski in Jutrosin (Jutroschin) and Szymonki near Jutosin Grzabka, Grzambka (Grz?bka) in Smolice and Zdz?tawy Niedbala (Niedba?a) in Smolice other names include: Kern, Sage (Sauke?), Pawlak, Tiapal, Manka in the above mentioned region I currently have some micro films of Smolice, Kolaczkowice (incl. Dlonie) and Jutroschin at the local FHC. I will try to help if you have somewhat detailed questions about those places. I might not have time for general questions such as everything about a particular name etc. Best, Andre Switala ==== POL-WIELKOPOLSKIE Mailing List ==== Going on Vacation?
