Michele, The Polish have sevarel letters in their alphabet in addition to the ones we have. One of them is an L with a diagonal slash thru the vertical . Sometines misread as a T. So I suspect that you are looking for PL~OCK. L~ represents that letter since it is not on my American keyboard. Joseph was summoned there by a United States marshal and expects to give bond for his appearance at the next term of the federal court ib Eau Claire. His trouble is the result of an imperfect knowledge of the English language, which caused him to sign a false affidavit. It will be remembered that Fisch recently applied for naturalization papers and in doing so it was necessary to make affidavit as to the length of his residence in Wisconsin. He claims to have misunderstood the party who filled out the blank, and placed his signature to a paper which stated that he had continuously resided within the state for a year or more, when the fact that he had been here somewhat less than twelve months. When the error was called to his attention , Joe withdrew his application for final papers and expected to renew it next fall. Joe Trader, a witness for Mr. Fisch is also having his troubles and last week gave bonds for $300 to appear at Eau Claire. He unwittingly, it is claimed, swore that Fisch had lived in Stevens Point for a year at the time the affidavit was made. Beyond the considerable expense and loss of time, it is beleived that no serious results will follow. ============================================= I thought maybe this article might help you, note Rybicki changed to Fisch. Yvonne, For the time period of interest to you, Bomst (now Babimost) was the name of a town and also a Kreis (County). So did your ancestors live in the town or somewhere in the county? The Mormons have microfilmed Protestant, Catholic and civil records for the town. If you have access to a Family History Center that might be a fruitful place to search. It was recorded a long time ago so I don't think it's available on CD.

They sing clearly so they are easy to understand and sing beautiful traditional Polish songs.
