Hello, everyone, By now most or all of you should have received word from RootsWeb about the mailing lists changing over to a new, upgraded list management system. However, this list is going to "migrate" early - sometime today - as part of part of a final test of the new system. As subscribers, you should experience nothing different in the way you receive list mail, with the exception of digest subscribers. For those of you who received the digest, you may notice a couple of minor differences. The digest volume and issue numbers may change after the switch to the new system. The top portion of the digest may look a little different. Also, for those who receive their digest in MIME format (with the messages as attachments rather than displayed as inline text), you will need to contact me to set your digest setting to send out in MIME format. The method of subscribing and unsubscribing to the list will be a tiny bit different. To unsubscribe, users no longer need to send the -L or -D. Simply send a message to [email protected] to unsubscribe - regardless of whether you are subscribed in list mode or digest mode. Also, messages sent to the list no longer need to include the -L in the address. Therefore, messages sent to the list are now sent to [email protected] Again, let me state that subscribers should very minimal changes in the way the list runs, and there is nothing you need do to continue being subscribed to this list. Regards, Marie, list admin POL-WIELKOPOLSKIE mailing list

If you go to www.familysearch.org you can find the closest center. If you click on Library, you can do a place search to see what microfilms are available for the area you are researching. They cost $5.50 each to order for about 2 months. I have seen the name Banaszak in the films I'm studying which cover Mysliborz, Radolina, and many other villages. Much of the information on these microfilms of church records has not been posted on the familysearch.org site. Even though the records are in Polish, Latin, German, or Russian, there is a pattern to the way they are written and the History Center has language helps of common genealogical terms.

We recently found her church marriage record so thought I'd run the new info past you. It seems my Victoria was born in 1871. Her parents were Jacob and Lucia (?) of Nadborowo, Poland. Victoria married Michael Adamski in Feb. 1892 at St. Anthony's in Toledo and had children Andrew/Henry; Stephen; Anna Kathryn; and Victoria Catharina. Victoria (mother) disappears in 1907. Does the added info match anything you have????

Dear Christian, nice to hear from you again. I tried to contact you a while ago but could not get through. Do you have any other information regarding this place? Is it now part of Dlon itself? I am going to this area just for one day next week and want to take some pictures of all those places my ancestors are from and also visit the churches. Probably I can ask someone in Dlon itself, but if you can give some info beforehand my job there might be easier. Pozdrawiam Andre Switala [email protected] wrote: > It is Zapowiedz.
