I have pictures of Ignacy, Anastaia, Walter, Kate Prutz (sister to Walter) and a few more. I once contacted Raymond Bednarowicz. My mother had talked about your family and they had visited my grandparents in Syracuse. In September I had visited the town my grandfather Frank came from, Zagorow, Poland. No one knew of any Bednarowicz living there now. That doestn't mean there aren't any living in the area. I would love to share the pictures with you, although I don't have much information about them. Carolyn Rittenhouse
Hello. all... I am Kelly Paul Graham, and I am looking for information of the family of my great-great-great-grandmother, Marcianna STOWOLSKA, born in 1842. Marcianna was the wife of Phillip SZYMANSKI (d. 1886 in Gernam-Poland (I believe)), and the mother of Katarzina SZCZEPANSKA (b. 1865 in Zolcz - d. 14 January 1896 in Bremond, Robertson Co., Texas). Marcianna immigrated to Texas in 1891. So, who were Marcianna's parents, and where were they from? Thank you for your time, Kelly

Unfortunately, I know very little about my grandfather, Walter Bednarowicz, as he died in 1962 before I was born. I'm almost sure he has to be related to Ignacy Bednarowicz because as far as I know, my grandfather lived his whole life in Everson PA and he is buried there in St. Jozef's Polish cemetery. Everson is a really small town, like pop. 800, and Bednarowicz is not a super common name. I spent much time in Everson as a young boy. Walter was born July 27, 1893. I read in another post that someone had a card with Ignacy's date of death being in 1952 at the age of 93, so doing my math, Ignacy would have been born around 1859, so my grandfather was probably next generation and possibly another cousin to your grandfather Frank - maybe (?) Unfortunately, I do not know my paternal great-grandparents names - in fact, Ignacy may actually be my great-grandfather, as he would have been 34 at the time of Walter's bir! th, so it's very possible. If not then, he would have been an uncle to Walter I'm sure. I do know that my grandfather Walter fought in WWI and that he was also the Burgess (like the Mayor) of Everson in the 1950's - my dad's nickname in high school was 'Burge' because of that. My parents legally changed our last name in the 80's - shortened it to just 'Bednar', as apparently the 'owicz' (difficult to spell part) just means 'son of' in Polish and Bednar is much easier in American business (my dad was a salesman). But my birth certificate says Bednarowicz (BTW- I was born in Greensburg, PA (apparently they had the best hospital closest to Everson/Scottdale at the time). Anyway, I wish I knew more about my grandfather and his family and roots. He married a Polish girl in 1921, Anastasia Zwolinski (my grandmother- born Dec 26, 1900). I remember she took us to (spoken in) Polish mass when I was young. They had 3 children together - Raymond, Evelyn "Tootsie" - married name Kiliany) both born in the 1920's and my father James, born in 1941. If you or anyone else out there has any family information, I would really like to hear from you.
