    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: FamHist77 Surnames: Hundt, Huntowski, Przybylska Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.ceeurope.poland.wielkopolski/1806.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Dear Pawel, Are you still researching the Hundt's? Have you ever found a line of Hundt's that changed their name to Huntowski? My Great Great Grandfather was Jan Huntowski(abt 1831-1889) and recently I found when searching the Poznan Project a marriage(1854) in a Catholic parish in Janowiec, of Joannes Hundt and Catharina Przybylska (which is my Great Great Grandmothers maiden name). When I was a child I had heard that the name had been changed and the nun's in school always told me that my name was not a true Polish name. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Author: aemerson127 Surnames: Jaszczak Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.ceeurope.poland.wielkopolski/3498/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My g-grandfather's name was Frank Jaszczak. He was born in Sept. 1878 and prior to emigration lived, I believe, in Zastruse or Zastrosz, Poland. He arrived in the U.S. in 1912, worked as a miner, and lived in Ironwood, MI. Frank married Stella ??, also of Poland, in about 1908. They had 8? children--Frances, Rose, Verna, Joseph (my g-father), Edward, Jack, Theresa, Gertrude. I think Frank's (Franz's?) father's name was something like Antoni. Does anyone know of such a Jaszczak line in Poland?--I understand it's a fairly common surname. I would also be grateful for info on Stella Jaszczak's last name before marriage? When she arrived in the U.S.? Where she was from in Poland?
