I don't know where Stanislaw came from, as that name is not in the Gultowy parish records before that time. Do you know of any other Stypinskis in Rudki? I have found four places named Rudki in Wielkopolskie, the closest in gmina Miloslaw (25 km), others near Chodziez, Ostrorog, and Trzemeszno. In which did you find Antoni? Lenora Mulock wrote: > Nasza Nadukochansza nasz = our, ours I'm not finding anything for "nadukowchansza." But ukochana means darling, beloved, pet (female). Ukochany would be used for a male. "Nad" means over, above, on upon, beyond, at, of, for - so it could be two separate words, and the meaning would depend upon the rest of the phrase or sentence written on the tombstone, I suppose. -Marie
Lenora Mulock wrote: > Z Domu Pawlowska (is this something about maiden name??) Yes. Z domu Pawlowska (or probably more grammatically correct would be "z domu Pawlowskich") means "of the house of Pawlowski" and refers to her maiden name. Pawlowska is, of course, the feminine version of the surname Pawlowski. -Marie
