My Great grandfather Dimitri Ryszkowski and His mother Xenia Ryszkowska vel Gryszkowska (born 1872). Do you happen to have information on these people. Dimitri came to the U.S. in 1913 while Xenia came in 1930. Xenia's passenger records say she came from "Antowi Zcizus" which I believe to be Antonie, Czestochowa, Poland. She also said in 1930 her last place of residence was "Nancy, Poland" which could quite possibly be Gdansk, Poland. Xenia's Husband was Mark/Marek Ryszkowski. Possible siblings to Dimitri are Paul/Pawel/Pavel and Anna. If you have any information on these people it would be greatly appreciated. I know nothing about my ancestors from Poland beyond this information. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My family came to Texas, when August Wilhelm Rachuy came in 1868. He had a brother Johann which are all we know at this time. Also a Henriette Rachui came to the same area in Texas , and I believe believe she is related either a cousin or a sister my August and Johann. I have gotten the Poznan marriage list, and I do see a Ludwig that is married to a Justine Somerfeld, but not the Ludwig married to Amalie Reiter in May 1853. I would love to visit with you if you would as I can really help you on your Texas cousins. Mayme Hause Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have the microfilm from Rabin but so far did not get more information. Rosalia Feder died in 1895 and the families moved to Wanne and Gelsenkirchen in Germany. However, every little tip helps. Maria's father was Jan Schleichert. According to Anna Inda nee Schleichert's death certificate, Jan was born in Praha. Anna was born in Poland by Jan and his first wife. Edward, Maria, Wojciech, Maximillan and Helena were children from Jan and his second wife, Emila Polsfuss. She died quite young. It was Anna who raised her half brothers and sisters.
