On his manifest he listed that he was going to Pensylvania to his uncle Joseph who then came to Alpena, MI with him and I know a lot of history from then on. I do not know the parents of Valentine but I do know his wifes' name Marianna Konczak who also came from Poland along with children. Do you know more? Is this the same family? Valentine also had two brothers that came to Alpena by the name of Stanislaus and Jacob. We also had another Stanislaus in Alpena whom I believe was the brother of Joseph.

Edna Witbrodt (Frank's wife - another brother ) is the only one of Stella's children or thier spouses that are living now. she is in Bay City. Some of your brothers and sisters visited us when I was little, in California where we lived. I don't remember which ones though.

I wish I could respond to your John Niespodziany, but as far as I know, he is not in my direct line. I was given a tip by someone researching in Srebrnagora, where my great-uncle MARTIN NIESPODZIANY(b 1866) was married in 1896. He and his parents, THOMAS NIESPODZIANY and APOLONIA MEZYDLOlived in Panigrodz. (By 1896 Apolonia had died.) Thomas' father was APOLLINARY(b. unknown). The children of Thomas and Apolonia were, in descending order of age: ANTONINA MARTIN b.1866. Came to U.S. about 1896. IGNACE b.1867. Came to U.S. about 1894. This is my mother's father. JOSEPH STANISLAUS (STANLEY) Came to U.S. (when?) WALENTY APOLONIA HELENA PETRONELLA Might you have come upon any of these names in your research? Also was your JOHN N. born in the U.S.? Thanks. Trish
I have been doing research in Panigrodz and Kcynia. I had some records on my hard drive. I made a list of some of the Niespodziany in both places. I know there are more in both areas. If you would like a copy of the ones I have send me a direct email and I will send you a copy of list that I have made.
