I scanned the pic from e-bay to save for you family historians... e-mail me. I expect this pic is the L. Tesia who lived in Wyoming early 1900s.

> From: WILANT13@AOL.COM > Subject: Help find my family from Znin,Poznan > > LOOKING FOR ANY INFO ON MY SUCHALSKI FAMILY HISTORY. > Hi, It's clear from your subject line that at least you know where your family came from in Poland. But your request for "any info" is kind of broad. Can you be a little more specific as to what info you're looking for? If you're not sure what you are looking for, then it's best to give a summary of what you already know. If you have no info on your family history, while this list can give you suggestions and all kinds of help, you are only going to be able to record your family history by doing research. This would include talking with current family members, research through the LDS family history centers, writing to parishes and archives in Poland, or possibly hiring a researcher. However, before we go to far with suggestions on how to do research, let's hear what you have done already and what you are looking for. I found a Salno, Poland where my Plotka family might be from. It is listed on the map as Woj: Kujawski-Pomorskie; Powiat: Bydgoski; Gimina: Koronowo. Could someone tell me what this means and am I on the right mailing list? Also where would church records for Salno, Poland be? Surnames: Berndt, Wiese Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hdC.2ACI/1942 Message Board Post: I am trying to find the ancestors for my grandfather, Fritz or Fred Berndt, b. 15 Apr 1862 in Kreis Deutsch Krone, and his wife, Lena Tews, b.Feb 1864 in the same area. They married about 1888, and emigrated to the United States via Canada in May 1891 He left from Hamburg on the ship "Grimm" and arrived in Montreal in that same month. They then travelled to Indiana by way of a train through Detroit, Michigan. With them was their son Otto, b. 25 Feb 1889. In his naturalization papers, Fritz stated that he had last resided in Jastrow, hence my wishing to search in that area. He was listed on the ship manifest as a laborer, although in later life he had his own dairy farm in Porter county, Indiana, USA. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I might locate his parents, (also his wife's parents), I would welcome any help that you might be able to give me. I can not believe that he did not have parents, but I have run into a dead end. I can read some German, so if that ! is the language you wish to reply in, feel free to do so. I can not speak or understand one word of Polish. Sorry.
