I understand that there were several Arasim families living in the Mt. Carmel area years ago, but do not know believe there was any family connection. I lived in Mt. Carmel and went to high school with a Dolores Arasim. At that period of my life I did not have an interest in my family history. I'm sure it would have been mentioned if the local area Arasims were related to each other. However, since the families carried the same surname, I'm sure they knew and communicated with each other, at least occasionaly. Therefore, if Mary Ann's grandmother knows of a Victoria Arasim who lived in Mt. Carmel for about 25 years until her death in 1941 she may know a little of her family background. If you have an opportunity to talk to Mary Ann or her grandmother it would be appreciated if you would mention the Victoria Arasim name to see if they have any recall of her. I am especially interested in learning the name of the town or village in Poland where she lived before coming to the US.
