There is another spelling of the name in Poland. The S has an accent mark over it. With this name spelling, there were 495 people. On January 1, 1999 Polish took their 49 provinces they had, which were established by Russia, and cut them down to 16 provinces. At the request of geneological researchers, Rymut did the survey by county in 2002. This was requested because it would benefit researchers in pinpointing a county in which to search for ancestors' records and possibly living family. In 2002 there were 6 females names Swiacka and 3 males names Swiacki. One male was in the city of Suwalki. For the spelling with the accent mark over the S, there were 305 named S~wiacka and 282 named S~wiacki S~wiacka 305, 4, BsAu: F. 11, BsHa: F. 1, BsSe: F. 40, BsSu: F. 11, BsmBs: F. 6, BsmSu: F. 79, S~wiacki 282, BsAu: M. 12, BsSe: M. 52, BsSu: M. 6, BsmBs: M. 2, BsmSu: M. 61 These are the counties where they were found. In 2002, there were 12 Berlinska --- one female in the county of Bialostocki.
