I think that my grandmother and grandfather came to America abt 1900. I have been told that they met on the ship over from Poland. My mother was born in 1917 in Sugar Notch. Her mother Marianna Swaitski I believe was born sometime in the 1880's in Poland. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can find out more about her? She died when my mother was 7 years old and we really don't know much about her family at all. I cannot find her in the list of passengers from Ellis Island. I don't know how to find her naturalization papers. And I live too far from PA to go to the catholic church and try to find her marriage record or her obituary in the paper in Sugar Notch. Any ideas?
