Antoni was born between 1773 and 1773. Katarzyna was born about 1783. They had two known children: Jan BORKOWSKI, my 3rd great grandfather, and his brother Jozef Nikodem BORKOWSKI. Jan married Maryanna WIERZCHOWSKA. Jan was born between 1800 and 1805. He died in Jalowo on October 28, 1851. Maryanna was born between 1797 and 1805. They had several children: Mateusz Michal, Franciszek, Antoni and Katarzyna, my 2nd great grandmother. Katarzyna was born November 20, 1837. She married Piotr MACKIEWICZ of Szurpily on October 25, 1858 in the parish of Jeleniewo. Neither of their dates of death are known. Family history has it that she died when her youngest son Stanislaw Mackiewicz was 7 or 8 years old, which would mean about 1900 or 1901. It is not know known if there were children from the marriage of Antoni BORKOWKSI and Paulina DZIENKONOWSKA. They married May 14, 1866 in the Jeleniewo parish. Weronika MACKIEWICZ never married. While is Poland last year, an elderly cousin told me that Wladyslaw MACKIEWICZ died when he was about 21. This may or may not be true. Ludwika MACKIEWICZ & Jozef GRABOWSKI had children, but their whereabouts is unknown. The same goes for Anna MACKIEWICZ and Jan LESZKO. Only two of the above known descendants came to the United States. Ewa MACKIEWICZ married Andrzej CHMIELEWSKI, of Turowka, Suwalski, in the Jeleniewo parish. They lived in Dickson City, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Stanislaw MACKIEWICZ married Monika ADESZKO, of Gruszki, Mikaszowka, Bialystok. They met and married in Chicago, Illinois, and settled in Toledo, Ohio.
