One of my ancestors was Agnes Ludovicky. She was said to have been from a Polish nobiliary family. I don't know whether it is true about her aristocratic origin (probably just a legend) but I got to know that her father was Jakob Ludowitzky who immigrated from Poland in 1813 (he was born cca in 1793). He was written to have come from "Droicsin" which seems to be (most probably) Drohiczyn (www.drohiczyn.pl) in Podlaskie. I'd appreciate any information.
