On it, he lists his place of birth as Vesoki, Poland. I have never heard this one before… On his Selective Service application, it states that he was born in Lomza. Was Vesoki a town or city in Poland back in the late 1800’s? My grandfather’s name was Max Vinovich b. 19 Mar 1887, and his parents were Samuel Vinovich and Edna Vopnitski.
