We have just received birth and death records from Poland. Thankfully they were photocopied and then translated into English. I am searching for the town Yablon Markoventa which is listed as the birth place of my great-grandmother. I'm assuming it is in the area of Kalinowo Solki although I may be very wrong. I've checked shetetlseeker and cannot find it. Any suggest ions?? Terri, The village Jablon~ Markowie~ta is located not far from the town named Wysokie Mazowieckie. Kalinowo-Solki also is at this area. Click on: www.pilot.pl and write to the frame: Kalinowo /Jabl~on~ M. there is not there/. Next click under the map: Kalinowo-Solki. Is that clear? Hello Terri, I am surprised you have got the names of the towns transcripted into English. It is much easier to use the copies of original records. 10km SE of Kalinowo (huge village with many hyphenated hamlets like Kalinowo Solki) is located Jablon, also huge village with many hyphenated hamlets. Although I didn't find your Markoventa there is Mackowieta nearby. Nevertheless I expect to locate Jablon Markowieta there also.
