    3. This is the closest I can find to it, but it's not in Podlaskie province. JABLONOWO MACKOWIETA 5315 2030 N Poland 72.1 miles NNW of Warsaw Names changed so much, that's it's sometimes hard to find places. There is a Jablonka Koscielna close to your Kalinowo Solki. There is another place near Kalinowo Solki named Jablonka-Swierczewo. Go to the Shtetlseeker at http://www2.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm . When you find Kalinowo Solki, enlarge the map and use the arrows to move around. You may find it that way. I checked the Slownik Geograficzny, and did not find it. There is a possibilty it may have been an manor. These records you have should have the name of the parish. In which parish was this place? Was this in Russian and than translated to English. Normally I take Russian documents and translate them to Polish first. If these were in Russian, and were written before the end of WWI, the Russians had a different alphabet than they do today. If you have copies of them, please fell welcome to send them to me. Maybe I can see something that will help. 3. I think the photocopies of the records are in Polish, but I am not 100% certain as I do not understand much of either language. The photocopy of the death record of my great-grandmother has the right side cut off in the photocopying process. I did find a Jablon Mackowieta not far from Kalinowo-Solki on pilot.pl and I feel that is what I'm looking for. The translation of the photocopy which we were given states that she was born in Yablon' Markoventa of the Yablon' parish. The copy of the death act or record (odpis skrocony aktu zgonu) records her miejsce urodzenia as Jablon-Markowieta. Thank you once again for your useful information. I will have my daughter scan the image of the photocopy of the death record and perhaps you might ber able to tell me in which language it is written when and if you have the time. Thank you once again Terri --- Tina Ellis <vellis@jps.net> wrote: > This is the closest I can find to it, but it's not > in Podlaskie province. > > JABLONOWO MACKOWIETA 5315 2030 N Poland 72.1 miles > NNW of Warsaw > > Names changed so much, that's it's sometimes hard to > find places.
