They lived in Kaletnik. Found not place in Poland named Susno, but did find one named Suszno. It's not in the Suwalki area. It's way south of there. They settled in the Sugar Notch area of Luzerne county. My Grandmother is Burried at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Sugar Notch.

I don't know whether it is true about her aristocratic origin (probably just a legend) but I got to know that her father was Jakob Ludowitzky who immigrated from Poland in 1813 (he was born cca in 1793). He was written to have come from "Droicsin" which seems to be (most probably) Drohiczyn (www.drohiczyn.pl) in Podlaskie. I'd appreciate any information. Their mother was living with neighbor/friend/relative, last name Klocko. An Anthony Klocko was godparent to one of my uncles. I have an excerpt of a letter that has an address of Topilowka, Augustow. Letter written about the 1920's.

The cemetery for that area is just around the corner on the road to Topilowka, and I went there this summer with my daughter and Godmother. We stayed on the family farm with Marek and his family for 6 days. The cemetery is a treasure and I was able to locate my great grandparent’s headstone, Michal Harasim and Anna Kotarska. While numerous Kotarski/Harasim in my family history did come to the USA, there are still many Harasim and Kotarski families in the area. I found my initial family documents from examining microfilm of Janowka Parish records, available at Mormon Family learning centers, or at many large libraries. I found an index of what church records were available on microfilm, had one sent, and reviewed it for a few weeks. Hope this helps.
