Looking for names around there myself, I contacted them via the web, their response is below. Janiszewo is not too far from Plock and my great-grandpa came from 1 of those 2 towns. (The list of cities, towns and villages in Polish Kingdom... 1827" records from place named Janiszewo can be found in Archiwum Panstwowe w Toruniu, Oddzial we Włocławku ((The State Archive in Torun, The Wloclawek Branch), 4, ks. Skorupki Street, 87-800 Wloclawek, e-mail: apwloclawek@poczta.onet.pl http://www.archiwa.gov.pl/?CIDA=43 Now then, another issue to contend with is - when did they leave? Seeing that they were GGG Grandparents I would guess it was prior to WWI in which case the eastern part of Poland there became a part of Russia and they took all the records to St. Petersburg. I found a site/organization with an arm in San Rafael, CA and they can/will do work for you. Here are the email I received: Kristin Nute: enute@igc.org and their general mailing in Russia: blitz@peterlink.ru Good Luck. - Jeff -----Original Message----- From: GWill65074@aol.com [mailto:GWill65074@aol.com] Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2006 2:05 PM To: POL-MAZOWIECKIE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Pol-Maz] Address for Plock records Can someone tell me an address in Poland that I can write to to look for my ggg grandparents records.
