    1. Re: POL-MAZOWIECKIE Address for Plock records
    2. In a message dated 2/23/2006 9:00:32 AM Pacific Standard Time, Jeff writes Now then, another issue to contend with is - when did they leave? Seeing= that they were GGG Grandparents I would guess it was prior to WWI in whi= ch case the eastern part of Poland there became a part of Russia and they= took all the records to St. Petersburg. Glenn and Jeff, If the records ever were in St. Petersburg, they were brought back long time ago. I have been researching in Russian Poland, and records exist in the state or church archives that go back to 17th century in some cases. You can check the Polish State Archives website to see if the records exist in one of the state archives by putting in the gmina 'seat' for the town of interest. It will tell you which archives it is in and give you an address for the archives. The LDS has also filmed throughout Poland, in abt '69 and more in the 90's. You can search their library holdings for records you seek. It is also possible that the archdiocean archives that covers Plock has records available. Blitz would not be my first choice for searching for Plock records..... Anettka
