I just recently found out that my gr gr grandfather was born in Szczawin. I looked on www.mapquest.com. Type in Gabin, Poland. Clic for the close-up on this map. Look directly southwest of Gabin. I intend to order LDS microfilm for Gabin Parish. My gr gr grandfather was Marcin Krolikowski, born ~1833. I don't know anything about the other town you mention. I usually use www.shtetlSeeker.org to search for towns, but the site seems to be down recently. There is a town, Ciechomice, north near the river and directly above Szczawin. Ciechomice is in the Parish Dobrzykow films. Good Luck Bobbi
