What is the time frame of these photos? The picture of Felix in particular bears a strong family resemblance. The suggestion of an epithelial fold at the outside corners of the eye is prominent in my Dad's family. Though I do not have it, my daughter does, and it is very marked in my aunt and her daughters. I've never been sure if it came from by grandfather or grandmother, as I have no photos of them. Of course, with all the inter-breeding in the Janowiec area, it could just be a regional trait.....

Yes, we Polish descent have a lot of Oriental blood, especially from Eastern Poland, with the Mongolian invasions (Kubla Khan, Ghenghis's son), and Tartars. Even in northern Poland. My grandfather from Lomza, looks exactly Tartar, in a 1906 photo//Ms. Theo Skowronek//
