World War II and its aftermath severed family connections. perhaps, additional information will help. FRANCISZEK Pawlak's father, Jozef, is believed to have taken part in the January Uprising of 1863. Jozef taught his children to "first do your duty and only, then, go pray=najpierw posluszenstwo, pozniej nabozenstwo." Franciszek taught his children the poem, "Mazur ci ja Mazur." Franciszek had the following children: Edward (b. 1909- believed deceased in Poland), Janina (b. 1921-lives in USA), Adam (b. 1925-deceased in Poland) , Maria (b. 1929-lives in Poland). I know that Franciszek Pawlak's brother, WINCENTY, had 3 children: Boleslawa, Fema, and Wladyslaw. Wincenty lived with his daughter, Boleslawa Pajecka, in Warsaw itself before and after WWII. They lived on "ulica Grottgera 13." It's believed that Boleslawa has died and we don't know her daughter's ( Ania) married name. If alive, Boleslawa Pajecka would be about 95 today and her daughter would be about 63-65. Boleslawa Pawlak Pajecka also had a son, Heniu=Henry who was listed as missing during WWII--his surname is not known to us. Fema (unknown married name) and her children--one was named Alinka--died during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Wladyslaw died during an appendicitis operation but left three young sons who also participated in and survived the Warsaw Uprising. Franciszek's oldest brother, WOJCIECH, had several children One of his sons was named Janusz and he married Freda. Janusz and Freda are believed to have lived (possibly been born) in Lodz and, later, Wroclaw. Cordially, Hali
