Born in Krzywica, Poland he came to the United States in 1968. Mr. Kuc lived in Trenton before moving to Lawrenceville two years ago. Mr. Kuc retired from Hill Refrigeration. He was active in St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church and served on the Church Committee. He was also active in the Ukrainian National Home. During World War II, Mr. Kuc fought for the independence of Ukraine. He was the son of the late Luka and Maria Sak Kuc and brother of the late Mykhaylo Kuc. He is survived by his wife Kateryna Iszczuk Kuc; his three sisters Kateryna, Oksana and Hania and his two brothers Semko and Stefan, all of Poland; a nephew and his wife, Miroslaw and Maria Romanko and their children Martyn and Michael of Lawrenceville; along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins in Pennsylvania, Poland, and Ukraine. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at Kutc! h Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hamilton. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery #3 in Hamilton. Friends may share their condolences with the family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Parastas held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Hamilton in memory of Jozef.
