I don't have Felix or Julian, but I've got an Anna Smolenski who married Wojciech Szczepkowski in 1782. I recognize Golembiewski from all the vital records I've looked through, but not one shows up in my current tree.... Thanks again for the photos!

No clue of who he is . But the cloths look quite a bit earlier. These and others are from my Golembiewski uncle. He has a few dozen photo postcards that were never sent, so I would assume they were taken in Chicago and probably sometime between 1900-1920. But they could have been taken anywhere and mailed in an envelope. In my family, a Golembiewski married a Szczepkowski. His Golembiewski married a Smolinska.

What is the time frame of these photos? The picture of Felix in particular bears a strong family resemblance. The suggestion of an epithelial fold at the outside corners of the eye is prominent in my Dad's family. Though I do not have it, my daughter does, and it is very marked in my aunt and her daughters. I've never been sure if it came from by grandfather or grandmother, as I have no photos of them. Of course, with all the inter-breeding in the Janowiec area, it could just be a regional trait.....

I couldn't say how they are related (uncles through marriage), but I have a few pictures of Julian and Felix Miecznikowski. They are related through the Golembiewski side of my family, also from Janowiec.

Hello, everyone, By now most or all of you should have received word from RootsWeb about the mailing lists changing over to a new, upgraded list management system. However, this list is going to "migrate" early - sometime today - as part of part of a final test of the new system. As subscribers, you should experience nothing different in the way you receive list mail, with the exception of digest subscribers. For those of you who received the digest, you may notice a couple of minor differences. The digest volume and issue numbers may change after the switch to the new system. The top portion of the digest may look a little different. Also, for those who receive their digest in MIME format (with the messages as attachments rather than displayed as inline text), you will need to contact me to set your digest setting to send out in MIME format. The method of subscribing and unsubscribing to the list will be a tiny bit different. To unsubscribe, users no longer need to send the -L or -D. Simply send a message to POL-MAZOWIECKIE-request@rootsweb.com to unsubscribe - regardless of whether you are subscribed in list mode or digest mode. Also, messages sent to the list no longer need to include the -L in the address. Therefore, messages sent to the list are now sent to POL-MAZOWIECKIE@rootsweb.com. Again, let me state that subscribers should very minimal changes in the way the list runs, and there is nothing you need do to continue being subscribed to this list. Regards, Marie, list admin POL-MAZOWIECKIE mailing list
