My Jarczynski's are on my Grandmother's side (Auburn, MI) her mother was Franczska Jarczinski dob 1883 (had sisters Nellie & Agnes, plus brothers Ned & Walenty). Franczska > Sebastian 1842 > Franciscus 1810 > Martinus. Potentially from Czarny Sad / Gnessen Posnan areas. It would be wonderful to find relatives in Poland.

You can find what records for Plock exist thru the LDS by going to: www.familysearch.org Click on LIBRARY, then click on FAMILY HISTORY LIBRARY CATALOG, then click on PLACE SEARCH, then typre in Plock in PLACE and Poland in PART OF: A list of towns and areas is presented for you to choose from. I know the town my ancestors are from so the list provided me with another list of films to rent. I have also consulted the Plock Civil Transcripts of Catholic Records. There is a list of those films. For the years 1850 - 1870 there are 5 films. Good luck

Grandfather Josef was father to those 1913 immigrant kids. It can be confusing when they keep recycling the same names! The Josef you stated naturalized in 1939 was their son, my uncle. His father Josef/Joseph naturalized in 1928. I will see if I have enough info to get his death cert via Michigan. Everybody who knew anything about these people are now dead, unfortunately. Stanislav Maluchnik was my great-grandfather.

One of the children who immigrated with Marianna Klask in 1913? Or was he the child of one of those children who immigrated in 1913? If what you have is the "fancy" certificate given to the immigrant at the time of naturalization, you can send for his application using the Form G639. You can also request a search for his records at the National Archives in the area where he lived in 1913. Have you requested a copy of his death certificate? I know the National Archives will accept an obit, funeral memorial card and they may accept a photo of the grave marker or a copy of the cemetery's records. I didn't notice the first time I looked at the manifest that Marianna and her children traveled with her mother and father (Stanislaw & Amelia Maluchnik) and her brothers Wladyslaw and Jan. The manifest shows Stanislaw also had been in the U.S. previous to 1913, 1909-1911.

Hmmm, I'm after the records for my grandfather....I have his Nat Cert dated 1928. He's long gone, but I have no 'proof of death,' nor his parents' names, which is what I am looking for. There's no archived obit, or anything else I can find. I have his death date only from his grave marker....do you think they will still send me his records? I have the Nat Cert, but I really want his application or anything that has more info on it....

Zareby is the correct place. Since it's a small village I assume there was only one Roman Catholic church there, as these people were very Catholic. I'm not finding, for free, records of marriages for like 1890-1905, which is the block of history I need. I did find some earlier ones containing Maluchnik, but cannot link them. I can't pay the $300 for world membership right now, and my other problem is that I cannot read Polish! My email is showing up wrong on this post, it's mpadgett7@triad.rr.com

Cannot find the other spellings in this area. The manifests show that prior to immigrating to the U.S. in May of 1911, Josef had been in the U.S. from 1905 - 1907. I'm going to guess Josef and Mariana were married between 1900 and 1902; Teofil born in 1902. Josef was born about 1907 when Josef returned to Poland, followed with the other children, Cecilia and Maria. The manifest shows Josef (b.1907) was naturalized in Detroit in 1939. His naturalization records may have additional clues. To find records in Poland you will need to find a church in or near the village where they were married and their children were born.

I am looking for any birth/marriage record of Stanislav MALUCHNIK (b.1859), who married Amelia Mieleski(sp?)(b.1861); also for Josef KLASK (b.1878-81), who married Mariana Maluchnik (1883). Birthdates approximate. I think Josef Klask's father may have been Jan Klask, and he was allegedly a Swedish orphan and acquired the Klask name from a German Jesuit priest (that is the story, unconfirmed). Possibly Maryanna Klask was a sister to Josef??? Josef Klask and Mariana Maluchnik were married in Poland prior to their immigration to USA in 1913. They had 4 children in Poland, Teofil, Josef, Cecilia, Maria, oldest was 11 years. I would guess the marriage to be 1900-02. Any record at all of any Klask in or near Zareby/Zaremby/Zarombe prior to 1913 would be most appreciated, as well as any record of Stanislav Maluchnik ~ Amelia Mieleski(sp).
