I'm a Welles descendant as well, but I haven't yet traced his lineage back to the Plantagenets. I've been researching for about 3 years now, and the first ancestress I found whose lineage goes back to the Plantagenets is Ellin Hamilton Allison. She and her husband were Scots who emigrated in the early 1600s. I would be interested in your Welles information.
