Susannah, Do you have a relationship calculator in your genealogy software (Family TreeMaker, Generations, Reunion, The Master Genealogist, etc.)? If so, it usually will give you the relationship to any person in your tree via the shortest route (Generations, Reunion, and The Master Genealogist will anyway). But in counting via this list, it appears she's your 18th great grandmother. As such, using the cousin calculator I mentioned in an earlier message, that makes you and I 18th cousins once removed. Via a different connection it might be shorter or longer. And we do seem to have other common connections--to the Stewarts, Bruces, Lords of Raby, and the Lords of Bamburg, to mention just a few I see. I also noted you're descended from the Red Douglases--any Black Douglases in there as well? Anyway, thanks for providing the information.
