If the Plantagenet descent your coworker is tracing is through the Morgans (Daniel Boone's maternal kin) then you ought to take a look at a series of articles Stewart Baldwin published in *The Genealogist* in 2001. If memory serves, I think he more or less debunked all claims to a royal descent for Daniel Boone through his mother -- sorry.
