    2. Of of the daughters of Edward I, Joan of Acre left a sizeable progeny and many of us find descents from this English princess. Yet her younger sister, Elizabeth of Northampton [ob. 1316], also produced quite a brood. Some of the inter-related families that link to Elizabeth are the Bohuns, Butlers, fitz Alans & Talbots. James Butler, earl of Ormond, is Elizabeth's great-great-grandson.
