Dear Plantagenets, For those of you who may not be aware, for the past few years I have maintained a Website devoted to Plantagenet ancestry, with a particular focus on the family of Edward III of England and his son, John of Gaunt: http://home.earthlink.net/~kb60/plantagenet01.htm My site is non-commerical in nature, with the simple intent of sharing traditional resources (for instance, you will not find discussions of DNA or other popular methodologies mentioned or endorsed on my site) with persons who claim family relationships to the Plantagenet dynasty. That being said, any partnering with commercial ventures ("dot-coms") is neither sought nor desired: free sharing is a byword I like to live by. Plantagenet Genealogy & Biography is mentioned in the links of some excellent resources. I will be more than happy to link to anyone's personal Rootsweb pedigree or homepage (see "Plantagenet Cousins" section): http://home.earthlink.net/~kb60/plantagenet07.htm If anyone would like to incorporate my materials into their research or otherwise display it online in their own sites, I ask that you contact me first, as befitting family members. Most of us reading this message are relations to one another, howsoever distant that might be (John of Gaunt is my 18th great-grandfather). All of us are rivers that flow from the same source. There are many sites and homepages with an interest in the Plantagenets. Bringing these all together is an interesting objective and one to strive for; however, due to the broad scope of the Internet and people's individual interests, it's obviously not possible to consolidate every online resource one might happen to find. And of course, many electronic resources are here today, gone tomorrow. Change in the virtual world is exponential to that of the real world, which moves plenty fast enough. Since plagiarism is a natural outgrowth of the Internet, Rootsweb has an excellent feature that prevents persons or machines from wholesale copying of your online pedigrees. For privacy, the user can establish a date parameter that cuts off individuals born after a selected year. To All: I have used this website, and it is excellent. A special thanks, Kevin; I had this one, but lost it in a computer crash last week.
