I, too, am a member of National Society Magna Charta Dames and Barons (Austin Colony, Austin, TX). The address of the organization is the Philadelphia one as posted on this site for "Plantagenet Society." There are about five societies that have been formed under this original umbrella (and all have this Philadephia address) named in the first sentence (NSMCD&B) to which one can easily become a member without having to supply much documention of source or proof of descent. Once I became a member of the NSMCD&B, I was invited to become a member of the other societies that were formed by the original society including "The Society of Descendants of Knights of the Most Noble Order of the Garter," "The Sovereign Colonial Society Americans of Royal Descent," "The Plantagent Society," "The Sovereign of the Colonial Order of the Crown" and the "Order of Washington." More societies may have been formed since I last received an invitation to join these I have listed. I have not joined any of them since I joined the original, and one must be a member of the original to belong to any of the others. There is a membership fee to join, and then membership fee to join each of the others. You can buy a pin also when you join each of these societies. The Texas "Parliament" is held once a year in different places in the state (usually in March and this year in San Antonio) and Mr. Ted Neilson, Chancellor, attends and speaks. Once a year in Philadelphia there is a National Parliament. To join NSMCCD&B it is required that one must be recommended by a member. When I received invitations to join the other listed societies, I was simply sent invitation by the office in Philadelphia. Website is www.magnacharta.org.
