I believe he had a sister named Julia. Georgia, Alabama or Tennessee area. He is listed on my grandmothers birth certificate as her father but they never met. Supposedly married Josephine Carroll (Paul) a widow with 4 children then fathered my grandmother Julia Lee Pitts. The marriage was short lived. I'm very curious about n this branch of my family tree.
