Mark Pitts lived in Benton County which was the very large parent county for both Calhoun Co., AL and Cleburne Co., AL. Cleburne Co. was taken from Benton and Randolph Co., AL in the 1860's. Moreover, I haven't looked deep enough into Mark's history to find any brothers, sisters, or parents. My interest in the Pitts family lies in the fact that one of my wife's Gay ancestors was a sister to Mark's wife. The names, Miles Pitts and Susan Betts, I have not seen before. Sorry.
