I know my great grandfather was from Copiah County (I'll have to check with my father on his name)as he was shot and killed by the Copiah County Sheriff. My grandfather (Clyde Pitts Sr.)married my grandmother (Mary Davis), also from Copiah County and later moved the family to Terry, and my father now lives in Jackson.
