Pitts born 1842 and died 11 October 1892 in Caroline County, Virginia. He married Bettie Chenault 23 September 1869 in Caroline County, Virginia. She was the daughter of James and Susan Chenault. George served as a private in the Civil War with Captain Thornton's Company and was a prisonerof war. He was killed by a horse and found dead on the road leading from Bowling Green to Burke's Bridge. Their children are: Joseph W. Pitts Robert Wilton "Buster" Pitts Susie Pitts George Wilton Pitts Annie Bell Pitts Bettie Pitts Lillie M. Pitts Lillian "Ninn" Pitts I am also looking for information on the Pitts Family in CAroline County, Virginia.
