I have run into conflicting information. The first is I found where Obediah Pitts married Nancy Griffin in South Carolina, moved to Alabama, then to Texas. I also found that Obediah married Polly Grappin in Alabama, then moved to Texas abt 1832. My 3-Great Grandmother is Lucinda Griffin Pitts (married my 3-Great Grandfather Shubael Marsh). I believe Lucinda's middle name is after her Mother's maiden name. Could Nancy have died in Alabama and Obediah married Polly before moving to Texas? Does anyone know.
