LOCKER & Frances HEREFORD, married Robert Kelly PITTS (1822, TN -- 1867, Lincoln Co., TN) son of James PITTS and Rachel YOUNG. I have often attempted to tie the Lincoln Co., TN LOCKER line with my Bosque & San Saba Counties, Texas LOCKERS. Now, I find a few possible clues. Robert and Elizabeth PITTS names one of their sons, Samuel (after her father Samuel S. LOCKER?). They also named one of their sons, Fenton (Fenton LOCKER is one of the families I have tried to connected with my LOCKERS in Texas). My LOCKERS were in Bosque Co., TX by 1852 "In the fall and winter of 1852-53, the families of Samuel S. LOCKER, Frank M. KELL, John THOMAS, William R. SEDBERRY, and A.C. PEARCE settled in the Bosque area. Samuel LOCKER settled near a rock bottom crossing on the Bosque River in December 1852-the site which was later to become known as Cliff Town (1860 census)-now known as Old Town Clifton.
