He was born in Croydon, Surrey, England and came to Australia in the 1880s. He travelled the world extensively and had business interests in various places. Many of his descendants from his first marriage live on the west coast of the US and on Vancouver Island in Canada. I am descended from his second marriage through my father Maxwell Pitts and we have been in Australia - New South Wales and Queensland.
