I dug out my family tree stuff and dont seem to have much info to offer you. I too can not figure out who is Drayton Tobias father. Where did you get the middle name as Tobias? I have had some people try to tell me that his middle name was Jordan but our family has passed down the info as Tobias. Who knows, maybe Drayton Tobias father was Drayton Jordan. Your grandfather James was the brother of my great great grandfather Jordan Buford. What is your dads name? I live with my grandfather and he might have some info. Your dad and his dad were cousins. I looked thru my census info and I dont have one listed with James Madison either. But I have him listed in my chart. I have civil war info on Drayton. I also have a picture of his wife Mary Jane Duncan Pitts. It is not a very good copy, but i would be happy to share. I also have a picture of James brother Jordan and his wife.
